Clear Sky Solar Cleaning was built on one simple idea: do things the right way in an industry that often doesn’t.

Matt began his career in the solar industry as an apprentice installer, gaining hands-on experience with solar panel systems and industry best practices. Later, he moved into solar consulting, where he quickly realized the industry often prioritized quick sales over honest guidance. Instead of sharing only part of the story, Matt believed in giving customers the information they needed to make confident, informed decisions.

That experience inspired him to build something different: a company founded on honesty, hard work, and putting customers first.

While studying at the University of Tampa, Matt met Justin, who managed the security team at a local college bar. Matt joined the same team to earn extra income while finishing school, and the two quickly became friends, united by a shared goal of building a business they could be proud of.

In 2022, Matt turned his senior-year project into what would become Clear Sky Solar Cleaning. The project earned second place in the University of Tampa's Shark Tank competition, and later that year, Matt and Justin officially launched the company.

They started small, with Matt driving a 2012 Kia Sportage filled with solar-safe cleaning equipment and Justin transporting ladders in his Jeep Grand Cherokee. Together, they invested time in learning the best cleaning practices by completing safety training through Solar Tech, studying industry resources, and working alongside their friend Carla Dawson to refine safe and effective solar panel cleaning techniques.
